In this time of the“New Normal”period and as we continue to confront the issues of Covid-19, we at the St. John Paul II Learning Center, Inc. are committed in ensuring the continuity and safety of the education of our students. (Education is our top priority.)
On school opening, it will not necessarily mean that the teachers and learners will undergo the traditional in-classroom setup; however, by DepEd’s approval, a face-to-face learning through an intermittent schedule will be applied to ensure learning. Distance learning and a blended approach will also be one of the choices and the learning modality of our school will depend on the access to certain learning platforms.
Our faculty team will determine the most appropriate alternative learning delivery for each learner based on their access and resources. Preventive measures are also put in place to secure the health and well-being of our learners, teachers and personnel under this new normal. it is our ultimate goal to facilitate the safe return of our teachers and learners to our school without the anxiety associated with Covid-19.
Implement distance learning delivery using the different online/offline platforms or modified face-to-face delivery with considerations on the following:
Online learning via Zoom, Google Classroom at least twice to thrice a week.
Modular approach as an alternative to those who do not have an internet access.
Face-to-face learning (DepEd approval) in an intermittent schedule with minimum physical contact shall take place by batches or shift with a maximum of 3 hours per session.
Schedule number of days for learners to be present in school, attending classes and the others shall stay at home doing the activity modules given by the teachers.
Alignment of the alternative delivery modes of learning to the DepEd’s Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELC)
Conduct vigorous training and orientation to teachers and parents in managing multi-modal learning delivery (zoom, google classroom, modules) as well as on how teachers and parents will teach the learners on the use of the online/offline platforms/learning modalities.
Implement social/physical distancing, wearing of mask (NO mask, NO entry) and proper hygiene as the new normal preventive measures
Mobilize necessary precautionary materials like thermal scanner, alcohol/ sanitizer, face mask and protective gears for teachers and learners in every classroom
